Scott J. Sumner

Scott Sumner, a Michigan native, was born in Mt. Clemens. Scott received a Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) from the college of Natural Science at Michigan State University in 1986. He went on to receive a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from what is now known as the Michigan State University College of Law in 1989. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1990, and is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association, Macomb County Bar Association, Genesee Bar Association, and Rochester Bar Association. Scott was also the President of the Rochester Bar Association from 2005-2006 and was the recipient of the Rochester Bar Association Leadership Award in 2005. He has also been a member of the North Oakland County Board of Realtors since 1991 and has been a Real Estate Broker and licensed Builder since 1995. He has received a Certificate from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Family Law 2009. Scott is also a graduate of Oakland University-School of Business Administration Personal Financial Planning 2009. Since 1990, Scott has been the Senior Attorney and Owner of Sumner & Associates, PC, a general practice law firm.
